The MagicGizmo classifieds are your one stop place to sell your new, used and vintage magic.  If you have a favorite forum where you post your ads or an e-mail list, here's how you can use MagicGizmo to still manage your items for sale.  New tools are available to manage bulk lists and also help search engines find your listings.

Posting Your Ads

First, you need to be registered and logged-in.  Next, post your ads by selecting "New Ad" in the Classified Ad area.  Enter a picture. While this isn't required, MagicGizmo randomly displays classifieds on the site so a picture is more likely to catch someones eye that just text.

Promoting Your Ads

If you click on the My Ads link in the Classified Ad section, you have now discovered your personal link to all your ads on the site. If you send out e-mails, you can refer to this link and people can find everything you are selling.  Also, you can download your ads from MagicGizmo which allows you to be able to quickly paste-in all your ads into a forum or e-mail with a few clicks.  See also Downloading your ads.

Downloading Your Ads

Why would I want to do this? If you use the MagicGizmo to post all your items for sale, you may wish to also post them on other forums and sites, but this can be a hassle of maintaining information in more than one place. So here's how you do it: post all your ads to MagicGizmo. If something sells, delete the ad. You can change the price in MagicGizmo also. You can always then download a current list of your items for sale which can be posted to other forums which allow for these types of postings.

How do I download my current ads to Excel? When you are logged-in, you will see and link in the left hand side when viewing the Classified Ads->Seller Tools section.  Click here. There are tabs in the spreadsheet. The first one is the simple view and the easiest to post directly into another forum or document.  First, I suggest formatting the price column to format as currency. Then highlight the first 2 columns and click copy.  Then select a document and select paste and there you have it.

Mass Price Updates / Reverse Auctions

This allows you to reduce the pricing of all your ads with just one click. This way you can set your prices for a good price and if they don't sell you can reduce them easily all at once. You just log-in and go to Classified Ads -> Seller Tools. You enter the percent you'd like to reduce all your ads and click the Update button. You can even specify a minimum value or not to adjust particular ads at all when you set them up.  To set a minimum value or for it not to adjust at all, click "Update Ad" and you may select these options there.
