OK, brace yourself.  David Blaine's latest stunt has been announced where he will hang upside down like a bat in New York's Central Park at the Wollman Rink.  This latest endurance feat will last for 3 days and will conclude September 24 at 9:00ET during a live two-hour primetime event on ABC titled "David Blaine: Dive of Death."

Apparently, Blaine will use electro-magnetic boots to walk upside down during this 3 day period which will conclude will some sort of death-defying plunge towards the ground.  Also part of the special will include taped sequences of Blaine performing in various towns across America.

There have been no references made towards the earlier reported stunt where he was going to break the record for staying awake and conclude it on this same September ABC special.  See the related article: David Blaine Doesn't Sleep on September TV Special.

David Blaine has performed different endurance stunts such as twice attempting to break the record for holding his breath. The first was on his special, "David Blaine: Drowned Alive" where he did it breathing regular air and came up short of the nearly 9 minute record.  The second time was on Oprah where he broke the record and successfully held his breath for over 17 munutes after breathing pure oxygen.

Other past Blaine stunts include being "Buried Alive," encased in ice in"Frozen in Time," and standing on a tower in New York for 35 hours in "Vertigo."
