Scarlett, The Princess of Magic, is first lady magician to headline on the Las Vegas Strip in nearly 2 years. Her show is coming to the V Theater at the Planet Hollywood, in the spot that was recently vacated by magician Nathan Burton who moved his act up the street to the Flamingo. She follows in the footsteps of Melinda, whose long running act closed at the Venetian in 2006.
It is Melinda's brother, David Saxe, who was looking for the next Melinda and as the V Theater's show producer found Scarlett for this headlining act. Scarlett, 22, is a former dancer and magician's assistant who was also featured in the "The World’s Greatest Magic Show" at the Greek Isles off the strip. She has also performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood.
On the stage, Scarlett's act is 70 minutes of magic featuring her linking ring routine, Houdini's signature Torture Chamber, and the Topsy-Turvey illusion. She also features many of her personal pets in the act including her rabbit, birds, and even dogs. Her dancing background also comes through in the show which features her dancing as well as her assistants.
The afternoon show begins August 1, 2008 and is scheduled to run 6 months although she has an option for another 6 months.
