Looking for a Different Coloring Book Routine

I really like the idea of having 3 identical coloring books and doing a monte, though I\'d want to think through how the routine would resolve or conclude.

I use a small drawer vanish box as my \"crayon box\". I ask the kids about the 3 primary colors and pull them from a full box of crayons, explaining that all colors come from those 3. I show the b & w pages, put the crayons in the box, vanish them, then have the colors appear on the pages of the book.

As an alternative to the coloring book, I\'ve recently re-discovered the old stamp album trick, which works similar to the coloring book. This is a great effect for adult audiences. I\'m not sure kids collect stamps these days, hence the use for older audiences. I may have gotten the vanishing crayon idea from the vanish of the stamps.

I suggest three different books would be a better presentation. It would also seem more magical because the audience would have a much clearer idea of which book is supposed to be colored already.

The conclusion offered earlier was for all the images, colors and all to vanish. It seems like a solid close, but perhaps you could have the colors and lines appear somewhere else.

There use to be a color change pallette, perhaps you could show it has no colors on it at the start and after the images vanish they appear on the palette.

Another choice might be to have four coloring books and the concept of the monte is select the book which has color so that it can be magically extracted and used to complete the fourth book.
