If you want to make effects out of corrugated cardboard for either cost-effectiveness, lightweight issues, durability, or just plain appearance, try using the corrugated plastic known as coroplast (that is just one brand name).
You can get large sheets (4\' x 8\') through a local printer or printing supply company. They cut easily with a hobby knife, and if you carefully cut with the ribs (as opposed to across the grain), you have a built in hinge/seam.
I made a very large square circle (about 15\" square), and a couple other items, as well as built some prototypes to make from wood later.
There\'s also a variety of colors available!

Thanks great idea. This together with gaffers tape could make some quick and even durable illusions.
