Hi,
Here a few infos that I thnik should be added :
Cube Zag : Illusion invented by Günther Puchinger (Germany).
In this topic you're talking about classic illusion. To me this means the oldest ones, the originals, those that inspired to create variations. Due to this fact I wouldn't list "Origami", "Flying", "Blammo Box", "Impaled" and "Modern Art" in this section. To me those illusions are to recent in time.
An exemple of a classic illusion would be "The vanishing Elephant". Illusion invented by the german magician Aloïs Kassner shown for the first time in 1930 on an open stage. The idea came from his circus director Sarrasani.
Another exemple would be the "Black Art Theater" invented by Max Auzinger under the stage name of "Ben Ali Bey". This principal is still used in strage illusions.
Just my few thoughts.
Oliver.

I think Origami is over 20 years old, I think if it were music it would qualify for the oldies station

Lets see;
Crystal Casket
cremation/burned alive
Palanquin
Assistant\'s Revenge
Guillotine
Pepper\'s ghost and it\'s variations
Spidora
Headless lady
Girl to Gorilla
Head on sword
Costume Trunk
Aga levitation
Cannon and Drum
Mummy wrap
Flying Carpet
Blade box
Cane box
Backstage with the magician
Dancing Hank
Floating lightbulb
Walking through a wall
Spirit cabinet
blooming orange tree
I could go on and on. There are thousands of old illusions that are classics in different forms. Some are classic side show illusions. Others were done by the likes of Houdini, Dante, Thurston, Blackstone...well, you get the idea.
I always amazes me when the Asrah is mentioned but the Aga is left out. The Aga came first.

Where is the compressed illusion, wakeling/selbit sawings? At a minimum, I would think the two sawings are classics!
