Mystery Item: Please Help

More

I have had this item in my collection for many years, but have no idea what it is or what it is used for, nor have I ever seen another one.

It looks like the slot opens up so that you can place a wrist inside but it is not really large enough for a wrist to fit inside (maybe a small child\'s wrist would fit).

On the inside, is a hidden compartment which hold a small knife.

Item seems to be professionally made and does not appear to be a homemade item. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure but looks like something possibly from National Magic Company.

Matt,

Not sure what this is. Does it have moving parts? Any other compartments? What are its dimensions?

It\'s approx 18\" tall and it hinges at the top so the slot can be opened. I was thinking some kind of escape trick but as I said before it doesn\'t really fit a wrist inside the hole except maybe a child. It does appear to be commercially made. but it may remain a mystery.

Matt,

Could this be part of a larger item? It doesn\'t look complete.

Hi Bruce- It certainly could be but its the only piece that I have. I just can\'t figure out whta it is or what it might be part of. The hidden knife would make one think of some sort of escape trick or something, never seen another one like it. It may remain one of those mysteries, thanks, Matt
