They showed Nathan making the Las Vegas cut and then nothing... he seemed to have vanished from the competition.

Apparently, when the producers saw Nathan Burton's picture on the side of the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, they thought that maybe this is not undiscovered talent. Also, a new 3 year multi-million dollar deal didn't help his cause.
