I saw this video and it reminded me of the illusion where projected images on the screen merge into the live happenings on the stage.
This is a close-up adaptation using an iPad. Very clever.

Really nice use of a new technology. 
I remember a trick -- maybe a Supreme one, but I\'m not sure -- where a dove is painted on a slate or similar, and then the magi can produce the live animal from the painting.
Or... remember the hand drawing of the deck (on a big notepad) from which a named card can visibly rise?
...The vanishing radio?
...Iphone magic?
And so on; as soon as new technologic tools are invented, Magicians find uses for them.
