For sale: a huge carny name banner, ca. 1930's/1940's, with red/black letters on a white background of Lady Ilina, a fortune teller/mind reader. RIGHT OUT OF THE "NIGHTMARE ALLEY" genre. This is presently up in the ceiling, where it has hung for the last 35 years. It has steel ring grommets for ropes which were employed to hoist the banner, undoubtedly as part of a Midway ten-in-one attraction. (No, I'm not going to climb a ladder to take it down for the exact dimensions.....figure at least 15+ feet long by 4+ feet high.....no real idea, just estimating).
