Hugh Jackman Studies for Houdini Musical
According to Fox News, Hugh Jackman is getting ready for a Broadway musical about the life of Harry Houdini. Danny Elfman, former leader of Oingo Boingo, will be composing the musical score and Kurt Anderson is said to be working on the script.
Jackman is reportably already working on magic routines as the show will include Houndini performing large illusions and effects. Many may remember Jackman as Robert Angier in The Prestige, a 2006 movie about rival magicians competing to perform the best stage illusion. Jackman worked with Ricky Jay on that film and Jay is said to be giving him advice on this upcoming stage show.
Don't buy your tickets yet. Opening of this show if it does indeed materialize is projected for Spring 2010.
