David Blaine Doesn't Sleep on September TV Special
Magician David Blaine was spotted in Knoxville, TN taping segments for his upcoming special which is scheduled to air on September 24th on ABC. He traveled with a minimal crew and tried to keep the cameras hidden as best as possible. He performed outdoors at Market Square and also at a nearby pub where he amazed customers with his magic.
Blaine is planning as his big stunt to set the record for sleep deprivation which is 11 days held by Randy Gardner. Gardner was a 17 year old high school when he set the record in San Diego, CA. There were few noted side effects from Gardner which included moodiness, concentration problems, and hallucinations. After the record, Gardner slept for over 14 hours and normally after that. The David Blaine special is schedule to air at 9PM.
